Our commitment to the people of Laos and Xian Lom
Namkhan Zen Boutique Resort is resolutely turned to ecotourism, which seeks to maximize economic benefits in the region. In short, we adhere to the highest standards in this regard suggested by international organizations.

With the donations of our guests and Zen Namkhan Resort, on February 26 we organized a Book Party in collaboration with Big Brother Mouse to give over 200 books. We were able also to provide electricity for some classroom and 18 sets of desks and chairs were given. We encourage our guests to visit the village and the school.

A percentage of the income of the Resort will be returned to the population for environmental and educational support. As an example, while constructing our resort, an amount of $6,500. was given to Xan Lom village to help them build a community hall and to purchase waste baskets.

We have also contributed to the increase of water tanks and improved roads in the village. A composting facility for organic waste and the recycling of plastics are examples of initiatives taken.

We try to instill in our employees the need to protect the environment and we want to promote education by encouraging them to learn English.
